This night, at about 3:30, Russian occupation forces attacked Kharkiv with 500-kilogram aerial bombs. The Saltivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts were hit.
As reported by the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov, as of now, 25 people are known to have been wounded, five of whom have been hospitalized. Their condition is assessed as moderate and light. In addition, 30 people were evacuated, including 4 children.
A high-rise building was hit in Saltivka. Rescuers are currently continuing to clear the rubble. The aerial bomb destroyed the entrance of the building from the 1st to the 3rd floor. Residential buildings nearby, 5 cars, and metro station exits were also damaged.
"In the very center, the enemy struck an open area, damaging historical buildings, public places, and residential buildings. Another hit near a residential area, also in the central part of the city. At least 6 multi-story buildings, stores, shopping pavilions, cars, and metro station exits were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties," Sinegubov wrote.
As ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets added, there are still people under the rubble.
"Several floors were destroyed. Many were injured, including children! How many more civilians must die before the world stops the Russian aggressor?" he was indignant.
