Regardless of the agreement that ends the war in Ukraine, Russia will have to answer for its war crimes and pay for the destruction caused.
This statement was made by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, Le Monde reports. He became the first high-ranking European leader to arrive in Ukraine after the elections in the United States of America.
"If peace is to be peace, and not just a ceasefire, it must be fair and lasting. This is a warning to those who say that this war must end, so we can end it as soon as possible, no matter what."
