The current US President Joe Biden "quietly and unobtrusively" asked legislators to allocate another $24 billion to help Ukraine.
The Biden administration wants to add new spending to the government funding package that legislators may pass in December, Politico writes, citing a document from the White House Office of Management and Budget.
"... Biden is quietly and unobtrusively asking legislators to allocate another $24 billion to help Ukraine and replace American weapons that were sent to fight Russia before he leaves office," the article notes.
According to journalists, the request from the White House to legislators was received on November 25:
"Two congressional aides confirmed the details of the proposal and said that Congress (which includes two legislative bodies - the Senate and the House of Representatives - Ed.) received it on Monday."
