The United States of America is allocating a new military aid package to Ukraine in the amount of $500 million. This was announced by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
It is noted that the new aid package will include, in particular, ammunition for HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems. The United States will also transfer anti-tank weapons and counter-drone equipment.
The announced aid package will include the following weapons:
- Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (c-UAS) ammunition;
- High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) ammunition;
- 155 mm and 105 mm artillery ammunition;
- High-speed anti-radiation missiles (HARMs);
- Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAS);
- Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAPs);
- High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs);
- Light Tactical Vehicles;
- Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Countermeasures;
- Javelin and AT-4 Anti-Tank Missiles;
- TOW Missiles;
- Small Arms Ammunition;
- Grenades and Training Equipment;
- Demolition Equipment and Ammunition.
The amount also includes spare parts, support equipment, services, training, and transportation.
According to Blinken, the assistance will be allocated from the U.S. military stockpile.
