President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the future special representative of the elected US President Donald Trump for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, will arrive in Kyiv. He will visit Ukraine even before Trump's inauguration.
Zelensky announced this at a meeting with journalists in Brussels on Thursday night, reports "EuroPravda".
The visit will take place in early January. We are waiting for Mr. Kellogg and then we will talk about what he has or had in mind," the president said, referring to Kellogg's earlier ideas about ending the war in the media.
Given Zelensky's statement, Kellogg will come to Ukraine before Trump takes office as president. The inauguration is scheduled for January 20, 2025.
However, Zelensky expressed skepticism about the success of Kellogg's mission. "To be honest, I do not believe that Putin wants the war to end," he said.
