Soldiers of the North Korean army got drunk on New Year's Eve, their morale has fallen.

As noted in the message of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in Telegram, on December 31 and January 1, the Russians continued to involve units of the army of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in military operations in the Kursk region of Russia.

At the same time, the GUR emphasized, North Korean units continue to suffer significant losses among their personnel.

"To replace losses and strengthen positions, Russian commanders are transferring new military personnel of the DPRK army to the front lines - on December 31 and January 1, groups of North Korean soldiers were moved to positions in the area of ​​​​the settlements of Ulanok, Fanaseyevka, Cherkasskaya Konoplya in the Kursk region," the message says.

Intelligence noted that low-level commanders (squad/platoon/company) "lie in reports to the high command about the real level of losses among the DPRK army servicemen."

The GUR added that "the morale of soldiers from North Korea has fallen." At the same time, they are constantly "processed" with Russian-army propaganda about the "great significance" of the DPRK army's participation in the war against Ukraine.

"On New Year's Eve, cases of alcohol abuse were recorded among North Korean soldiers, including those who are involved in combat operations," the report says.
