The suspect in Iryna Farion's murder, Vyacheslav Zinchenko, had his pre-trial detention extended for 60 days - until March 4. This decision was made today by the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lviv during a preparatory hearing on the case, Suspilne reports.

Before the hearing, information was received about the mining of the court building, so everyone was asked to leave the premises. Subsequently, suspect Vyacheslav Zinchenko was brought in. In front of the building, some of those present chanted "life sentence", others - "freedom". The suspect's mother and Farion's daughter Sofia Osoba arrived for the hearing.

Zinchenko told reporters that he had gone on hunger strike six times while in custody, but called these actions formal because, according to him, he had never gone on hunger strike for more than 36 hours. He also continues to deny his guilt in the murder of Farion.

During the hearing, the prosecutor petitioned to extend Zinchenko's preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail, and the suspect's lawyer insisted on 24-hour house arrest with the wearing of an electronic means of surveillance.

The court decided to extend Zinchenko's preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail for 60 days - until March 4.

Farion's daughter also said that she has been receiving threats against herself and her two children on social networks and asked the court to respond to this. Zinchenko's lawyer advised her to file a statement with the police, who should open a criminal case regarding the threats of murder and stop the actions of the people who are doing this.

Sofia Osoba said that she does not know who is threatening her, but believes that her life is in danger, Novosti.LIVE Lviv reports.

"I am afraid for my life, but above all, for the lives of my children... They write: "It's time for my daughter to go to her mother and don't forget Dima (Sofia Osoba's young son)." If it only concerned me, I would endure it, but these threats concern my children... All the threats are in Russian," she told journalists.

Farion's daughter is asking for security and plans to file a police report about the threats.
