An acetone plant caught fire near St. Petersburg

A Russian plant producing acetone, which is also used in the defense industry, caught fire in Gatchina.

According to Russian publics, the fire has been assigned a complexity rank of No. 2. Bright flashes and flames are visible at the scene. The fire engulfed 1,600 square meters of a two-story building. An acetone spill was recorded at the scene of the fire.

The occupiers have not yet reported what caused the massive fire. But it is known that Russian air defense was working on drones at night. The Russian Defense Ministry even reported shooting down 40 UAVs in several regions.

The largest number of drones (16) were allegedly shot down in the Rostov region. Before that, local authorities reported a massive UAV attack.

Drones were also shot down in the Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk and Belgorod regions, as well as in the Krasnodar Territory.
