As a result of the heating main break at the intersection of Zhylianska and Symona Petliury streets in Kyiv, cracks appeared in the asphalt pavement.
As reported on the air of "Kyiv 24", the liquidation of the accident continues, mobile boiler houses are being deployed, which will supply heat to homes and hospitals. At the same time, "Kyivteploenergo" stated that they cannot predict how long the restoration work will last.
"As a result of the accident, heat disappeared in more than 200 houses. Now everything possible is being done to switch from one main line to another, and return heat to these houses. And where this is impossible, mobile boiler houses are being deployed, which will heat three medical institutions and 6 houses," the journalists said.
They added that preparatory work for repairing the heating main is currently ongoing, and welding work will begin soon. There are also representatives of Kyivavtodor on site, who are putting the road surface in order, since cracks in the asphalt surface have appeared from the epicenter of the breakthrough.
Rescuers are also on site, because two historic buildings from the 19th century were damaged as a result of the breakthrough, and they are monitoring to ensure that no further landslide occurs.
