The newly elected President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, promised that his team would declassify documents related to the assassinations of the 35th President John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.

According to CNN, the corresponding statement was made during his speech at the Capitol One Arena in downtown Washington. During his presidency, the politician did not make public the full package of records related to the assassination of Kennedy, as this was required by national security agencies:

"In the coming days, we are going to make public the remaining records related to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, as well as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other topics of great public interest."

As is known, Robert Kennedy Jr., whom Trump chose as the new Secretary of Health and Human Services, is the son of former US Attorney General Robert Francis Kennedy. He died in June 1968 from a gunshot wound.
