Vegetable prices in Ukraine have changed in different ways over the week. Producers have been massively reducing prices for onions, amid a rapid deterioration in the quality of products stored in storage facilities.
Analysts from the EastFruit project noted that the cost of vegetables fell from 15-16 UAH per kilogram to 13-15. At the same time, carrots began to get cheaper last week - from 25-32 to 23-20 UAH/kg.
At the same time, prices for cucumbers and sweet peppers continued to rise. Thus, the lower price limit for cucumbers rose from 110 to 120 UAH/kg, and sweet peppers jumped from 140-150 UAH per kilogram to 145-170. Tomatoes were sold at a higher price than the week before – the upper price limit rose from 90 to 120 UAH/kg. Eggplants rose in price from 110-120 to 180-200 UAH per kilogram, and zucchini fell in price from 90-100 to 85-90 UAH/kg.
Prices for quality garlic began to rise – the upper price limit rose from 150 to 170 UAH/kg. In the greens segment, there was a decrease in prices for dill and parsley – the upper price limit fell from 200 UAH per kilogram to 180, while lettuce rose in price from 50-100 UAH/kg to 150-160.
In the fruit segment, oranges began to fall in price – from 68-130 to 65-125 UAH/kg. Apple prices have dropped from 27-35 to 23-32 UAH/kg.
