After the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal pipes were blown up, Russians tried to use one of the passages for the movement of their equipment for the first time.
Dmitry Zaporozhets, a representative of the Operational-Tactical Group "Lugansk", spoke about this on the air of the telethon. According to him, on January 28, Ukrainian fighters destroyed an evacuation vehicle near one of the passages, which they called a "BBM-shed":
"It was even difficult to figure out through video surveillance what kind of transport it was. Either a tank with a sawn-off barrel, or perhaps some other kind. It is so equipped with some kind of rubber, all tightened and over-tightened."
The speaker separately spoke about the features of heavy urban fighting in Chasovy Yar and Toretsk. He explained that now both the Defense Forces and the occupation forces of the Russian Federation find it difficult to track where the enemy is. One of the reasons is the large number of multi-story buildings, on different floors of which soldiers of different armies can be simultaneously located.
"The enemy is actively using the principle of mining the territory - it can destroy basements or even entire entrances with tank mines. They also use such weapons as drones, drops, artillery. It is impossible to say that it is easy to conduct military operations in an urbanized area, so the situation in Chasovoy Yar and Toretsk is difficult," the lieutenant colonel emphasized.
