Polish President Andrzej Duda believes that his country should participate in future talks on the war in Ukraine. He said this in an interview with the Financial Times.

According to Duda, if the Trump administration invites other countries to the negotiating table besides Ukraine and Russia, "it would be in Ukraine's interests for Poland to be there."

"If we look at the resurgent Russian imperialism, then in this particular case, Polish and Ukrainian interests coincide," he said.

At the same time, Duda was skeptical about the possibility of sending Polish troops to Ukraine.

"We are going to help Ukraine in the future, because it is necessary. We do not necessarily have to deploy our troops there," the Polish president said.

He also noted that the end of Russia's war against Ukraine could lead to an explosion of international organized crime, saying Kyiv would need "massive support" to ensure its security.

"Imagine a situation where thousands of people who came from the front lines are returning home. Those people who are fighting Russia, many of them will have mental health problems... They will return to their villages, their cities, where they will find destroyed houses, destroyed factories, destroyed plants, no work and no prospects," Duda said.
