Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan supported the possibility of Russian-American contacts on the issue of ending Russia's war against Ukraine.
According to Anadolu, at a press conference, the Turkish leader said that his country "has not lost hope for peace." The politician recalled the words of President Volodymyr Zelensky that he is ready to sit down at the negotiating table with Putin if necessary:
"We also welcome the messages of Mr. Trump and Mr. Putin at this stage. As Turkey, we are ready to contribute to this matter. We have achieved this through our impartial approach and peaceful foreign policy, because we are one of the leading leaders who can meet with both sides."
