The Kremlin has not yet received any favorable proposals to begin negotiations on Ukraine.
This statement was made by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin, commenting on the words of US President Donald Trump, who expressed the opinion that Washington is making progress on the issue of Ukraine, Reuters writes.
"It is important that words be backed up by practical steps that take into account Russia's legitimate interests, demonstrating a willingness to remove the root causes of the crisis and recognize the new realities," Galuzin said.
"We have not yet received any specific proposals of this kind," he added.
The publication noted that in recent days, Washington and the Kremlin have been sending many contradictory or cautious messages about possible negotiations between Trump and Putin to end the war against Ukraine.
