European authorities expect that US President Donald Trump will tell them that they must pay for the restoration of Ukraine and deploy troops there to support a peace treaty, in which they will not participate.
A number of high-ranking European officials told the Financial Times (FT) about this. The publication noted that European officials cannot come to their senses due to the exclusion from peace talks between the US and Russia on Ukraine. They also fear that they will have to spend money on post-war security and the restoration of Ukraine.
The FT recalled that Trump, immediately after talking with Putin, said that their delegations "will immediately begin negotiations" to end the war, stunning the Europeans.
