In the Donetsk region, scouts from the Black Forest artillery reconnaissance brigade discovered and destroyed the newest Russian short- and medium-range S-350 Vityaz anti-aircraft missile system.
As stated in the message of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of forces, each such explosion and destruction of important weapons of the occupation army is a reduction in the enemy's capabilities on the battlefield for a long time.
Military and political observer Alexander Kovalenko explained how painful a loss this really is for the occupiers. He explained that the occupiers have anti-aircraft missile regiments consisting of 2-3 divisions of long-range S-300/400 systems and one division of short-range cover, the Pantsir-S1 ZRPK or the Tor-M2 ZRK.
"But this concept had a gap - blind spots between the short- and long-range systems, which the MiG-31, which the Russian Federation does not produce and whose service life is rapidly wearing out, initially tried to cover. Over time, it also became clear that the Pantsir-S1 ZRPK has a hard time covering itself, not to mention the guaranteed protection of the S-300/400. And it was precisely to solve the problem of blind spots that the S-350 Vityaz was created," the analyst explained.
