In Ukraine, there are fewer and fewer volunteers who are ready to serve in the army. And the slow pace of mobilization is due to the failure of the information policy.
This opinion was expressed by "Azovian" Andriy Korinevich, call sign "Root", in an interview with Suspilny. He has almost 10 years of service in "Azov" behind him, which he joined as a student at the beginning of the ATO. The full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation caught the soldier in Mariupol. There he was captured by the Russians, and after his release he returned to serve in "Azov". Over the past year, the fighter has been looking for motivated men in the Ivano-Frankivsk region who are ready to defend Ukraine.
The soldier said that volunteers come to their unit because they are trained there, but their number is decreasing every day. "Mobilization is necessary, we need people in the army, because, unfortunately, soldiers are dying, the war does not stop. Our people are ready to go out and drown in the Tisza instead of defending their homeland," Korinevich said.
The military man believes that one of the main reasons for this is the failure of the information policy.
"Our big problem since 2014 is the failure of propaganda. We do not have the right motivational videos, motivational films. Are we working on this? Yes, we are, but not enough. People are ready to stop the military with their bare hands from the TCC than to go and defend the country," Koren said.
