Turkey has mobilized all its diplomatic resources to ensure a speedy end to the Russian war against Ukraine.
This was stated by the country's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Ukrinform reports. "We have mobilized all our diplomatic resources to ensure the speedy exit of our region from instability," the Turkish president said about the process of finding an end to the war in Ukraine.
Erdogan expressed hope that Russia's war against Ukraine will end without further destruction. "Turkey has positioned itself correctly from the first day of the Russian-Ukrainian war. We did not succumb to anyone's advice and demonstrated a position that added confidence to both countries. We emphasized on every platform that there will be no losers in the world," Erdogan said.
He assessed Russia's "partially positive" approach to the US idea of a 30-day ceasefire as "a modest but valuable step towards peace."
