At about four in the morning on August 28, the Russians fired rockets at Sloviansk in the Donetsk region.
According to the TSN story, as a result of shelling, a crater the size of a small lake was formed in the city.
Several high-rise buildings in the center also suffered from enemy attacks. Pipes were broken near one of the houses by a rocket. In another, a fire broke out, which rescuers put out before dawn.
While there are no civilian casualties, most of the affected apartments are now uninhabitable.
One of the residents, who was miraculously uninjured, said that he was saved by the fact that he slept under the window, and the blast wave and glass from the windows flew right above him.
