In the south of the country, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down a Russian SU-25 attack aircraft.
This is stated in the message of the Pivden Operational Command regarding the current operational situation in the area of responsibility.
As noted, the situation in the operational zone of southern Ukraine is tense and dynamic. The enemy continues defensive battles and insidious shelling of settlements both along the line of contact and in our rear areas.
"In order to correct the fire, the occupiers activate aerial reconnaissance. In the Nikolaev region, one such spy of the Orlan-10 type was shot down. Trying to hold the occupied lines, the enemy once again used the tactics of air strikes in the direction of Belogorka, Kostromka, Dry Pond, Bezymyanny. generously paid with an attack aircraft. The Su-25 was accurately landed ahead of schedule by our anti-aircraft missile units," the command informs.
Aviation OK "Pivden" carried out 13 strikes, and rocket and artillery units performed more than 250 fire missions.
"Confirmed losses of the enemy are 83 rashists, 5 tanks, 12 Msta-B and Msta-S howitzers, 3 Giatsint-B cannons, 3 units of armored vehicles. 3 ammunition depots were destroyed in Gola Pristan, Tomina Balka and Snigirevka," the message says.
