Five Gepard artillery mounts were handed over to Ukraine this week.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this during a government meeting.
"The European Peace Fund has been increased to 2.5 billion euros. This means an additional 500 million euros for weapons for our army. Germany also plans to increase the supply of certain types of heavy weapons, including air defense forces. Five more artillery installations were handed over to Ukraine this week Gepard. In the near future, the first of the three most modern German-made air defense systems, IRIS-T, should be put into service, which will help protect our cities from Russian missiles," he said.
The head of government also added that during his visit to the European Union last weekend, the creation of an additional hub for the repair of "NATO" artillery in the EU was discussed.
"Another part of our agreements is now non-public, but we are sure that this will translate into many unpleasant surprises for our enemies," he added.
