The United States of America quietly added the most accurate artillery shells to military assistance to Ukraine.
As Bloomberg reports earlier, the transfer of Excalibur shells to Ukraine was not confirmed.
According to budget documents, the Pentagon sent the most accurate Excalibur artillery shells, which have GPS guidance, to Ukraine.
In particular, the US is spending $92 million to replenish its own reserves. The Excalibur resupply plan shows for the first time that the Pentagon is supplying the Ukrainian forces with the munitions. At the same time, officials avoid answering questions about Excalibur, despite reports of plans to transfer these shells to Ukraine and use them in our country.
These satellite-guided projectiles can hit targets within two meters. They were first used in 2007 in Iraq during the assassination of a well-known al-Qaeda leader and his supporters. Excalibur shells are used in howitzers with 155-mm caliber. They can hit targets with high accuracy at a distance of 40.5 km.
