US President Joe Biden announced a new $600 million military aid package to Ukraine.
"I am delegating to the US Secretary of State the authority to allocate up to $600 million in defense assets and services of the Department of Defense, military training and education to assist Ukraine," Biden said in the order.
The Pentagon specified that the package will include ammunition for HIMARS missile systems, night vision systems, demining equipment, 105 mm and 155 mm artillery shells and other equipment.
The United States has provided about $15.8 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since the Biden administration came to power.
