The Operational Command "South" reported the destruction of 33 Russian invaders and their equipment.
This is stated in a message on the Command's Facebook page following the results of the current operational situation in southern Ukraine on September 16.
"The situation in our operational zone, in the South Bug direction, remains quite complicated, tense, but controlled by the Defense Forces," the note says.
It is noted that the invaders from time to time decide on desperate attempts to improve their tactical position through active actions. So, the enemy twice during the day tried to carry out assault operations in the directions: Pravdino - Stepnaya Dolina and Arkhangelskoye - Ivanovka. In both cases, with forces up to a platoon, despite the support of the T-72 tank and BMP-2, he had no success and, having suffered losses, retreated.
"During the day, the enemy carried out 4 air strikes on our positions and a missile strike on Kryvorizh. 4 times fired at the Nikopol region," the report says.
