On Tuesday, September 21, the Ukrainian military shot down an Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drone.
This was reported in the Stratcom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“This is the engine of one of the Iranian drones Shahed-136, which was shot down yesterday. The size of the engine of Java, the two-wheeled dream of bikers of the late Soviet era,” the report says.
StratCom spoke about the principle of operation of Iranian drones.
"Several comments on the operation of these UAVs from air defense fighters. Shaheds operate in pairs, one lower, the second higher. If the first is shot down, the second one enters the target. If the first "passes" through the air defense shield, the second chooses another target and attacks," the message says.
