Head of the regional military administration Vitaliy Kim said this at a briefing at the Ukraine-Ukrinform Media Center on September 27, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We already have a certain number of downed Iranian kamikaze drones. None of them flew to the objects of the city of Nikolaev. In addition, our Armed Forces shot down Orlan-10 over the past 24 hours. According to OK Yug, ways to effectively combat these drones are being worked out,” Kim said.
He also noted that the enemy attacked the city center with various types of weapons that night.
“That night, at about one and four o'clock, the enemy fired on Nikolaev from various types of weapons. It was two hits from the Tornado-S MLRS and four S-300 missiles. Two more rockets hit a nearby village, where a public transport stop and several civilian buildings were damaged. In general, no casualties,” said Kim.
As reported, an explosion in the center of Nikolaev last night damaged 8 high-rise buildings, a number of shops and the premises of the city exhibition hall.
