On September 28, the Government of Ukraine received 500 million euros in EU grant funds as part of the State Development and Resilience-III contract signed on September 5.
These funds were credited to the general fund of the state budget and will be used to ensure the financing of current state expenditures, in particular in the social and humanitarian spheres.
Part of the funds will also be used to support food security and strengthen the economic stability of the country by ensuring the uninterrupted production of agricultural and food products, including by providing small farms with access to working capital.
"EU grant funding will help ensure financing of the state's priority spending without increasing pressure on the state budget's spending side," Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said.
