The Operational Command "South" reported the destruction of 64 Russian invaders, their equipment and an ammunition depot.
This is stated in a message on the Command's Facebook page regarding the results of the current operational situation in southern Ukraine for October 1.
"Our aircraft inflicted nine strikes on the enemy, and rocket and artillery units worked out about 550 fire missions, including at enemy logistics centers and areas of concentration of manpower and equipment," the note says.
Thus, the enemy’s losses during the combat day are 64 invaders destroyed, their ammunition depot, two Msta-S self-propelled howitzers, two anti-tank missile systems, 16 tanks and 11 other armored vehicles.
"One armored personnel carrier has been captured," the command added.
It is noted that the situation in the operational zone of the southern regions remains difficult, but controlled by the Defense Forces.
"The enemy continues to focus on holding its own positions. It actively carries out aerial reconnaissance with unmanned aerial vehicles. But the accuracy of our units destroyed 3 unmanned spies in the Nikolaevsky and Bashtansky districts without the possibility of implementing the collected photo / video data," the message says.
The OK "South" notes that the invaders are trying to find ways to improve the logistics of their troops, continue to establish alternative crossings and repair work in the area of Antonovsky and Kakhovka bridges.
At the same time, the enemy is inflicting rocket-artillery and air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops and peaceful settlements.
"During the battle day, the enemy inflicted 7 air strikes on our positions, from multiple launch rocket systems they once again hit two communities in the Nikopol region. No casualties or injuries," the note says.
Twice a day Ochakov was fired upon - from a 120 mm mortar and a Grad multiple launch rocket system. "They hit the port area and infrastructure. No human losses," the command noted.
In addition, it is reported that the ship grouping of the enemy fleet, reduced to eight units, is kept in a missile-safe area for themselves, keeping 24 "Caliber" at the ready.
“Therefore, the threat of a missile attack is relevant and quite probable. Attacks using kamikaze drones are not ruled out. In addition, the sea can continue to throw torn off anchor mines to the coast,” Yug emphasized.
