In the Sumy region, the car of Ukrtelecom signalmen was blown up by an enemy mine, the driver died.
This was announced by the chairman of the Sumy regional military administration Dmitry Zhivitsky.
"On October 2 at 8:45 in the Akhtyrsky district, a car of signalmen from Ukrtelecom JSC was blown up by an enemy mine. The cart drove off to the side of the road near the TV tower," he said.
According to Zhivitsky, there were four people in the car, now three are in the hospital, and one of them, who was the driver, died on the spot from his injuries.
"Law enforcement officers are working on the spot, the circumstances of the incident are being clarified. Akhtyrsky district remains one of the most mined areas in the Sumy region," the head of the OVA added.
