On the morning of October 8, a fire broke out on the Crimean bridge. The occupying authorities of Crimea report that a fuel tank caught fire at one of the sections of the crossing.
This is reported by Russian mass propaganda media with reference to "adviser to the head of Crimea" Oleg Kryuchkov.
Meanwhile, the Crimean Railway informs that a fuel tank caught fire at the tail of a freight train. "The locomotive with part of the cars was taken to the Kerch station. Emergency work is underway. The causes of the incident are being established," the report says.
It is noted that because of the fire, traffic on the Crimean bridge was suspended. Shipping in the Kerch Strait did not overlap.
From the videos and photos that appeared on the Web, it is clear that the “entertainment” on the Crimean bridge was powerful. There was a big fire at the crossing, strong black smoke rose above the moss. Moreover, some photos show that, in addition to the damage to the railway track, the roadbed has sagged.
