Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed the attacks of Russian invaders in the area of 9 settlements.
This is stated in the operational information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the social network Facebook.
"Over the past 24 hours, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repulsed enemy attacks in the directions of the settlements of Ternii, Opytnoe, Veseloe, Nevelske, Odradovka, Ivangrad, Bakhmut, Novaya Kamenka and Dry Pond," the report says.
At the same time, over the past day, the aircraft of the Defense Forces of Ukraine delivered 25 strikes.
"The defeat of more than 19 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, as well as 6 anti-aircraft missile systems of the enemy was confirmed. In addition, our air defense units shot down 5 cruise missiles and 9 UAVs," the report says.
Also, the rocket troops and artillery of Ukraine hit 3 command posts, 5 areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, 2 ammunition depots in a day. An enemy electronic warfare station also fell into the zone of fire damage.
According to the General Staff, the situation in the Volyn and Polesye directions has not changed significantly.
However, in other directions, the enemy carried out shelling:
in the Seversk direction - from mortars and cannon artillery, in the areas of the settlements of Ukrainian, Atinskoye, Bolshaya Rybitsa of the Sumy region and Nikolaevka of the Chernihiv region;
in the Slobozhansky direction - from mortars, cannon and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Strelechye, Ogirtsevoe, Staritsa, Gatishche, Dvurichnaya and Gryanikovka;
in the Kramatorsk direction - from artillery of various types, in the areas of the settlements of Disputed, Terny, Zarechnoye, Nadia, Olgovka, Torskoye, Belogorovka, Yampolovka and Maiskoye;
in the Bakhmut direction - from tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery along the entire line of contact. In particular, in the areas of the settlements of Belogorovka, Yakovlevka, Bakhmutskoye, Bakhmut, Ivangrad, Zelenopole, Soledar, Mayorsk, Chasov Yar and Experienced;
in the Avdeevsky direction - from tanks and artillery of various sizes, in the areas of the settlements of Avdeevka, Krasnogorovka, Vodyanoye, Maryinka, Novomikhailovka, Nevelskoye, Pervomayskoye, Zolotaya Niva.
Also, in the Novopavlіvskomu and Zaporozhye directions, the areas of the settlements of Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Vremiivka, Novoandreevka, Novodanilovka, Dorozhnyanka, Gulyaipole and Kamyshevakha were shelled.
In the Yuzhnobugsky direction, areas of settlements, not far from the line of contact, were hit by fire. Nikopol and Vishetarasovka suffered directly from the fire of the invaders.
As noted in the General Staff, the aggressor continues to focus on trying to implement its plans to reach the administrative border of the Donetsk region, as well as the content of the captured areas of Kherson, Kharkov, Zaporozhye and Nikolaev regions.
The enemy is shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops along the entire line of contact, providing engineering equipment for positions in certain areas and conducting aerial reconnaissance, pulling up reserves, mobilizing, recruiting mercenaries.
"The enemy does not stop attacking critical infrastructure and civilian facilities in our country. Over the past day, objects and civilians in the settlements of Brody, Nalivaykovka, Kyiv region, Nikolaev and Nikopol have suffered," the report says.
The enemy also used Iranian-made cruise aircraft, anti-aircraft guided missiles and attack unmanned aerial vehicles to deliver strikes.
"In general, over the past day, the invaders launched 2 missile and 16 air strikes, carried out more than 70 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems," the report says.
