Lithuania repaired Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts damaged during the hostilities for Ukraine. Germany handed them over to Ukraine.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Lithuania Arvydas Anusauskas on Twitter.
It is noted that self-propelled guns are already returning to the battlefield.
Anusauskas did not specify how the artillery was damaged and how many units were repaired.
As you know, the Panzerhaubitze 2000 is a heavy artillery system with a NATO caliber 155 mm cannon with a length of 52 calibers on a tracked platform. With standard ammunition, it can fire from a distance of 30 km, with extended range ammunition - 40 km, with active-reactive - over 55 km. The installation fires three projectiles in nine seconds or ten in 56 seconds. Ammunition - 60 shells and 228 modular propellant charges. Combat weight - 55.3 tons, crew - five people.
