The remains of three dead civilian men, who were shot in the car by Russian invaders, were seized at the cemetery in Izyum.
This is reported by the police of the Kharkiv region.
It is noted that on March 7, a column of Russian invaders entered Izyum and shot a car with civilians that was driving towards them. Three men - a father with a son and their friend - died.
"Today, at the cemetery in the city of Izyum, the police seized the remains of the dead. The youngest on February 24 - the day of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine - turned 20 years old. His father is 46, their friend is 56," the police said in a statement.
According to the story of the locals, the shot car stood on the street for several days, then the invaders dragged it away with a tank and threw it off the bridge. Later, the remains of the dead were buried in a local cemetery by close friends.
"At the site of the shooting of the Ford Transit car, on the bank of a small river where the car fell, as well as at the burial site, explosives experts, an investigative team, forensic specialists, and experts worked. Another crime of the Russians has been carefully documented," the police said.
It is noted that criminal proceedings have been opened on this fact under Part 2 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years or life imprisonment.
