The UK will continue to support Ukraine under a new prime minister, as it did under his predecessors Boris Johnson and Liz Truss.
This is stated in an excerpt from the first major foreign policy speech of the current head of the British government, Rishi Sunak, which he plans to deliver on November 28, writes Reuters.
"We will support Ukraine for as long as necessary. We will maintain or increase our military assistance next year," the document says.
Sunak will also announce that London will provide new support to Kyiv in the issue of air defense.
As of September, the UK has provided £2.3bn ($2.8bn) of aid to Ukraine in 2022.
