The shooting of an evacuation convoy in the Kharkiv region: what is the fate of the kids whose parents died saving them

Guardians were found for two kids who survived the shooting of an evacuation convoy in the Kharkiv region on September 25.
According to the TSN story, now the children whose parents died when they tried to take them out of the shelling live with their grandmothers.
“We spent seven days in the basement, we just couldn’t bear it anymore, so we probably left,” says Elena Vlasyuk, a resident of Kupyansk-Uzlovy, the grandmother of Misha who survived the shelling.
After the liberation, Kupyansk was mercilessly bombed by the invaders, so Elena's son, together with his wife and baby, decided to flee from the shelling by the evacuation column. But the invaders almost point-blank shot people from an armored personnel carrier. Then 25 people died, two small children managed to survive.
Misha, who became an orphan because of the invaders, is only 1.5 years old. His grandmother says that the boy is just starting to speak, and most often repeats the word "bang".
“He said “Bah” and ran away. And now he says “bang, bang,” says the grandmother.
Another child who survived during the shelling of the convoy, 5-year-old Polina, was found by people in a burned-out Gazelle together with Misha a day later. They were driving by and heard a baby crying.
“We were driving past, two kids... They took them away, and there were wounded, Polina says, two or three people, they took them away,” says Lyudmila Pototskaya, a resident of Kupyansk, the grandmother of little Polina.
The place of shelling was in the gray zone, so until September 30, Ukrainian law enforcement officers were not able to get there. Only a week after the tragedy, Lyudmila found out that her son, Polina's father, had died.
“I didn’t believe it, I thought I was alive - to the last,” the woman admits.
