Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the President's Office, said that the Russian invaders plan to repeat in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, the same scenario that was during the battles for Severodonetsk.
As he noted in a conversation with Russian human rights activist Mark Feygin on YouTube, the Russians are trying to force Ukrainian defenders to leave the city.
"The Russians want to go west from Bakhmut and hope to cut the Konstantinovka-Bakhmut highway in order to surround the city," Arestovich said.
However, according to him, the invaders will not be able to repeat what happened in Severodonetsk, in the Bakhmut direction.
