The Latvian regulator has revoked the broadcasting license of the Russian TV channel Dozhd, regulator chairman Ivars Abolins said on Twitter.
The report says that the license was taken away from the Russians in connection with the threat to national security.
"Due to the threat to national security and public order, this morning the NEPLP decided to cancel the permission to broadcast the Dozhd TV channel," Abolins wrote.
According to him, Dozhd's leadership did not understand the nature and seriousness of each individual violation and all violations in general.
"The laws of Latvia must be respected by everyone," summed up Abolins Abolins.
On the website of the publication itself, it is indicated that the channel "suspends its work."
