The head of the military administration of the Luhansk region, Serhiy Gaidai, said that Ukrainian soldiers had come close to Kremennaya - now they are a few kilometers from the city.
"Our troops are a few kilometers from Kremennaya. I hope that before the New Year there will still be news about the de-occupation of the settlements in the region," Gaidai said on the air of the telethon.
According to him, the de-occupation of the Lugansk region will be very difficult, because the Russians are well prepared for defense. According to Gaidai, "the Russians deployed their last trained units near Svatovo and Kremennaya."
However, Gaidai is convinced that the winter weather will contribute to the rapid movement of equipment at the front. And the "bavovna" behind enemy lines will be provided by partisans.
