On Wednesday, December 14, another exchange of prisoners took place. 64 soldiers of the Armed Forces returned to Ukraine.
According to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, the fighters who returned from Russian captivity fought in the Donetsk and Luhansk directions, including participating in the defense of Bakhmut.
"These are officers, privates and sergeants, our heroes," he said.
According to Yermak, they also managed to return the bodies of four dead and free US citizen Murekezi Suedi, who helped the Ukrainians.
“I thank the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. I am grateful to the whole team, but there is still a lot of work ahead. We are working,” Yermak wrote.
