The British government has announced aid to Ukraine for the next year. Kyiv will receive several hundred thousand artillery ammunition for a total amount of about 286 million euros.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will announce a new artillery package for Kyiv at the Joint Expeditionary Force summit in Riga on 19 December. This decision by London will provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a constant flow of artillery ammunition throughout 2023.
“The UK and our European allies go hand in hand in our response to the invasion of Ukraine, and once again we remain unwavering in our desire for peace in Europe. But to achieve peace, we must deter aggression, and our joint deployments across the region are vital important to ensure we can respond to the most serious threats," Sunak said in a statement released on the UK government website.
In addition, it is indicated that the British politician will call on leaders to support or increase support for Ukraine in 2023. It is also reported that Britain has sent 125 anti-aircraft guns to Ukraine and more than 100,000 ammunition since the start of a full-scale Russian attack.
