On New Year's Eve, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a vocational school building in the suburbs of Donetsk using HIMARS. Hundreds of Russian mobiles were based there. In the DPR, the strikes were confirmed, but the number of dead is hidden.
According to the Russian Telegram channel "Baza", the first information about the defeat of the "mobiks" base was distributed by Russian military correspondents and occupational publics. The attack on the base of the mobilized was made at midnight, when the invaders sat down at the New Year's table.
The fact of the strike on the building of the vocational school in Makeevka was confirmed by the Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Daniil Bessonov.
"Locals report that the strike was delivered exactly at 00:01 our time. According to my information, the enemy once again used the American HIMARS MLRS. I hope that the perpetrators who made the decision to use this object will be punished," Bessonov wrote. .
However, the militant did not name the number of liquidated infidels as a result of a successful attack. He generally decided to bypass the topic of losses of the occupying troops.
In fact, Russian military correspondents behave in the same way. Reporting on the defeat of the "mobiks" base in Makeevka, they note that the losses are insignificant. For example, Alexander Sladkov, military commander of the Rossiya TV channel, says he does not know the number of those killed, but notes that it is "two or three killed, although they say much more."
Blogger Boris Rozhin reported a "significant" number of dead and wounded, adding that "the rubble was still cleared in the evening."

At the same time, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petr Andryushchenko, noted that among the liquidated there could be relatives of "mobiks".
"In Mariupol, a bunch of military Russians attracted wives and families for the New Year. So massively that it was visually noticeable. There is no doubt that in Makiivka there was the same trend. If indeed the Armed Forces of Ukraine suddenly aptly interrupted the New Year's party of the song, then there will be losses of personnel , at least, it is necessary to add the losses of the families of officers and commanders," Andryushchenko wrote in Telegram.
