As the head of the Lugansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai stated, the Defense Forces are gradually advancing in the direction of Svatovo-Kremennaya. At the same time, the Russians unsuccessfully counterattacked near Stelmahovka and Makeevka.
Separately, Gaidai mentioned the strategically important highway R-66, which runs from the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation through Svatovo to Kremennaya and Severodonetsk.
"We control the R-66 highway with fire, sometimes the MTR manages to physically reach it and destroy enemy equipment," Gaidai said.
According to him, after the de-occupation of Svatovoe and Kremennaya, the Russians are preparing to defend Starobelsk. After the Armed Forces of Ukraine return this city, the invaders will withdraw to the demarcation line 2014-February 2022.
