After prolonged and cynical enemy shelling of critical infrastructure, Ukraine is experiencing regular power outages and interruptions in heating. It is especially difficult for people now in the cold winter period. The Eduard Mkrtchyan Charitable Foundation donated another 70 generators with a capacity of 8 to 33 kW for the communities of Donbass. Earlier, in November 2022, the Foundation had already purchased and donated 50 generators (120 in total) and almost 2,000 bourgeois ovens to residents of the Donetsk region.

"It is customary to sum up the results at the end of the year. 2022 turned out to be difficult. We will forever remember it as the year the war against our people began. Millions of Ukrainians found themselves in difficulty, without shelter, warmth and light. We had to help the residents of my native Donbass. necessary, and most importantly, targeted assistance to people throughout the region. In 2022, we brought building materials, heating equipment and food for local residents in the amount of almost UAH 24 million to support Ukrainians," says Eduard Mkrtchan, founder and philanthropist of the Charitable Foundation.

On the eve of the Christmas and New Year holidays, the Mkrtchyan Foundation also arranged festive performances and entertainment for children from the front-line regions and IDPs from Donbass. Thousands of children received sweet gifts and again believed in New Year's miracles.

“War should not steal childhood from our children! We decided to join the Marathon of Good Events charity initiative and arrange a small holiday for them with performances, entertainment and, of course, sweets,” recalls Eduard Mkrtchyan.
