15th place among the most powerful armies in the world

Against the background of the large-scale invasion of Russia, Ukraine has risen in the ranking of the most powerful armies in the world to 15th place according to the rating of the international company Global Firepower. A year ago, she was ranked 22nd.
In recent years, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been building up their power, constantly learning, in countering the hostile attacks of the Russian army in eastern Ukraine, in the implementation of NATO standards. With the start of Russia's large-scale aggression, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have demonstrated that they are capable of resisting the Russian army, which currently ranks second in the ranking of the most powerful armies in the world.
The demonstration of the abilities of the Defense Forces and the willingness to return the seizure of territory have created great confidence in Ukraine's international partners. The event began to actively help the country with military equipment and means. This increased the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Only 145 world states are taken into account for the rating. Ukraine is located between Egypt and Australia. The indicator of the Ukrainian army is 0.2516. The lower this figure, the better. In first place is the United States with a score of 0.0712.
