Russian occupiers inflicted about 220 hits of enemy shells per day on Gulyaipol in Zaporozhye.
They fired from tanks, mortars, and also used multiple launch rocket systems, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports on Facebook.
"More than 200 hits were recorded. Residents of the regional center were hit the most. Both the housing stock and the local civil infrastructure were damaged," the statement said.
The police noted that 13 reports of destroyed houses in the settlements of Pologovsky and Vasilyevsky districts were registered, warehouses and shops were also damaged. There was no information about the wounded.
"The situation in Vasilyevshchina also remains turbulent. In Stepnogorsk, warehouses at a local enterprise were damaged by hailstones. And in the village of Pavlovka, located not far from the city, a private house was damaged by fire from Russian invaders," the report says.
The police note that the crimes committed by the military of the Russian Federation are documented by law enforcement officers under Art. 438 "Violation of the laws and customs of war" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For each fact of armed aggression, criminal proceedings have been initiated.
The police of the Zaporozhye region urges citizens to continue the evacuation to more peaceful cities or regions. At the same time, they note that over the past day, 1,081 people were evacuated by rail from Zaporozhye to the cities of Lviv, Chop and Kovel, including 127 children.
