Maxar Technologies showed how Soledar and Bakhmut look like in the Donetsk region, where there are fierce battles with the Russian invaders.
To compare the extent of the destruction caused by the Russian aggression, the company posted satellite images of Soledar on Twitter on August 1, 2022 and January 10, 2023.
"Additional satellite imagery of the city of Soledar, Ukraine, before (August 1, 2022) and after (January 10, 2023), showing houses, schools and buildings destroyed in several months of fighting and artillery exchanges," the message says.
Other images show the destruction of houses in Soledar.
In addition, the company showed a satellite image of "thousands of bomb craters in the fields and along the roads" around the city of Bakhmut, which has been protected by the Ukrainian military for more than six months. Image dated January 7, 2023.
