In the sky over Bakhmut, Ukrainian border guards successfully shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft.
The enemy attack aircraft covered the infantry from the air, which was advancing on the defense line of the defenders, the press service of the State Border Guard Service reports.
"MANPADS of one of the border units opened fire and shot down a Russian combat aircraft, previously a Su-25. The aircraft caught fire and crashed from a missile hit, the fate of the pilot is still unknown," the statement said.
