“A few weeks ago we were approached by a family from Germany, Maximilian and Alena Guder. Alena is our compatriot from the Vinnitsa region. They offered help - 240 bourgeois women. They were handed over, and with them - coffee with milk in thermal bags and muffins. Ukrainians have united, rallied and are working together to win. It is especially inspiring that our fellow countrymen living abroad are not indifferent,” said Vyacheslav Sokolovoy, chairman of the Vinnitsa Regional Council.
According to the regional council, the Guder family lives in the city of Spenge, North Rhine-Westphalia. Maximilian and Alena purchased stoves with donations from the German people.
Potbelly stoves have already been delivered to the Vinnitsa region. Forty of the 240 received and part of the products of the Interregional Coordinating Humanitarian Headquarters has already shipped one of the military units, which is based in the Vinnitsa region, to the front line.
The regional council noted that part of the bourgeois women can be sent to the communities that were under occupation, in which there is no electricity supply and there are interruptions in heat supply.
The Interregional Coordinating Humanitarian Headquarters was established in March 2022 by the Vinnitsa Regional and Vinnitsa City Councils. As part of the “Heat from Home to the Trench” initiative, 141 potbelly stoves were assembled for the front line for the military. Then 50 communities of the Vinnitsa region joined in their production.
