Near the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, Ukrainian border guards repelled the Russian assault and launched a counterattack, the enemy suffered losses liquidated and wounded.
During the battle, 11 opponents were eliminated, and six were injured, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported on Telegram. "Up to four infantry groups of the enemy were liquidated by border artillery in the Bakhmut area. Here, the defenders constantly hold back assaults. Often in close combat. During one of them, in the suburbs, border guards neutralized an enemy UAV that was correcting fire with a "shot" from an anti-drone gun," - the message says.
The State Border Guard Service added that after that our defenders launched a counterattack. "The defenders pushed back the Russians' small arms unit with fire from small arms, automatic and anti-tank grenade launchers. The enemy's losses amounted to: 11 dead occupiers and six wounded," the department added.
In addition, an important decision of the authorities regarding the work of journalists in Bakhmut became known. The Donetsk Regional State Administration reported that from February 13, media workers will be able to enter the city only after they receive special passes.
